He is experienced in the management of cardiovascular risk, coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease.
Dr Wong earned his medical degree from the University of Adelaide before completing basic physician training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and advanced cardiology training at Concord Hospital. He also completed a Master of Philosophy (Medicine) at the University of Sydney, which evaluated novel prognostic factors in acute pulmonary embolism. He is currently undertaking research (supported by a health professional scholarship from the Heart Foundation) on the applications of computational fluid dynamics and coronary physiology in the catheter laboratory. He already has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at conferences across the world.
Dr Wong speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin in addition to English.
