About Dr Christopher Vickers
Dr Christopher Vickers is a gastroenterologist with a special interest in hepatology and irritable bowel disease. Dr Vickers graduated with First Class Honours from Sydney University as a student of Royal North Shore Hospital. He completed specialist training in Gastroenterology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Vickers was the first gastroenterologist to care for liver transplant patients in Australia, starting in 1986. He then travelled to the UK to further their studies in liver diseases and organ transplantation. Upon returning to Australia, Dr Vickers was appointed as a Specialist. They also teach students at the University of New South Wales and the University of Notre Dame.
