About Dr Brian Plunkett
Dr Brian Plunkett is an Australian-trained cardiothoracic surgeon. Dr Plunkett specialises in transcatheter valve procedures and minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Following specialist training, Dr Plunkett undertook a mitral valve repair fellowship in Canada. Dr Plunkett then went on to complete dual fellowships at Harvard University in the United States, in advanced cardiac surgery and transcatheter structural heart procedures. Dr Plunkett also received the Michael Davidson Structural Heart Fellowship, awarded by the American Thoracic Surgery Foundation. Dr Plunkett is passionate about improving patient outcomes and is actively involved in research and education. Dr Plunkett has a strong interest in advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery and is committed to providing patients with the latest advancements in cardiac care.
