He then completed a PhD with the Faculty of Medicine and Health (University of Sydney), examining methods to optimise biological agent use in IBD. He was awarded the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) postgraduate research scholarship for his PhD work, which culminated in both national and international recognition.
Dr Pudipeddi is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), and is accredited by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for performing gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He actively contributes to the field of IBD in particular - he is a current member of the GESA IBD Faculty of Australia, has publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. Dr Pudipeddi is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney, and is involved in various teaching programs for medical students, junior doctors and other colleagues.
