In addition to treating general respiratory disorders, Dr. Chawla has a particular focus on obstructive sleep apnoea and other sleep disorders, complex respiratory failure, and pleural disorders. His expertise in these areas is complemented by his dedication to medical education, as he serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is a current PhD candidate with the same institution. He is also the convenor of an Australia-wide Non-Invasive Ventilation course, contributing significantly to the education and training of respiratory medicine across Australia and New Zealand.
