She performs outpatient procedures including fibre optic nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, and ear microsuction. Her surgical expertise covers tonsillectomy, laryngeal framework surgery for voice disorders, parathyroid surgery, removal of neck lumps, septoplasty, and functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS).
She has a special interest in voice-related conditions and works closely with speech therapists, singing coaches, and neurophysiologists. Mrs Sonsale also focuses on parathyroid disorders such as hypercalcaemia and hyperparathyroidism, collaborating closely with endocrinologists.
Committed to education, she serves as a clinical tutor and leads CESR applications at University Hospitals Birmingham.
