About
He completed his medical degree at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1990 and holds a Master of Medical Sciences degree. He completed his post-qualification fellowship in General Surgery in New Zealand, subsequently completing his post-fellowship training at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, United States and St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne.
He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001 and is also a Fellow of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, as well as an International Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Assoc Prof Lynch's clinical practice is dedicated to providing high quality and compassionate care for every one of his patients. He has specialist expertise in colon and rectal cancer and manages these conditions using minimally invasive surgical techniques, namely laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He also has clinical expertise in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and the management of other colorectal conditions, including haemorrhoids and peritoneal disease.
