Dr Amy Feng is a Melbourne-trained obstetrician and gynaecologist who is passionate about providing holistic, individualised treatment for couples ready to start a family. Dr Feng completed their Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University in 2008. They discovered their passion for women's health during their medical residency, when they were awarded the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Medal in their Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology examinations.
Dr Feng then completed six years of specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training at The Royal Women's Hospital and Monash Health. They then went on to complete a prestigious two-year laparoscopic fellowship with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES), as well as completing a Master of Surgery in Advanced Gynaecological Surgery. Dr Feng cares for patients with pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids, and performs complex surgeries if required.
During this time, Dr Feng recognised that there was a strong need for patients with endometriosis and fibroids to have tailored fertility treatment, and so they completed a Master of Reproductive Medicine in order to provide comprehensive and personalised care to these patients. Teaching medical students is important to Dr Feng. They are a Senior Affiliate Lecturer at Deakin University, a RANZCOG training supervisor for training obstetrician and gynaecologists, and are on the AGES Education Committee to oversee the future of advanced laparoscopic gynaecological training.
