Prior to joining Burjeel Hospital in 2022, Dr Elbadawi served as the Senior Surgeon and Coordinator for the Joint Replacement Centre at the Klinikum Osnabrueck from 2012 to 2018. Here he focused on hip and knee replacement and revision surgery. His comprehensive knowledge and skills extend to both unilateral and complete knee replacement procedures. In 2018, he was appointed as Head of Consultants at Maria-Josef-Hospital Greven, where he provided exceptional care to patients requiring joint replacement. Dr Elbadawi relocated to the UAE in 2020 and began practicing as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Adam Vital Hospital in Dubai.
Driven by a commitment to innovative and patient-centric approaches, he employs minimally invasive techniques, such as the AMIS approach, in hip and knee replacements. This results in fewer complications and expedited recovery for his patients.
Dr Elbadawi has specialist expertise in a wide range of orthopaedic procedures, including arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty, joint replacement for the hip, knee, and ankle, ACL hamstring tendon autograft reconstruction, Ligamys technique, MPFL-Platik with hamstring or quadriceps tendon, proximal tibial osteotomy for osteoarthritis of the knee, distal tibial osteotomy for osteoarthritis of the ankle, and knee and ankle arthroscopy.
