Memory Opticians was established in 1982 with the mission to provide a unique patient experience consisting of high quality eye examinations, vision correction, and glasses selection. For the past 37 years, Memory Opticians has stood as a trusted eyecare service in Amesbury, Salisbury, and the surrounding areas. The Salisbury practice is located on Catherine Street.
Serving a diverse client base spanning three generations of families and numerous corporate clients, the practice has conducted eye examinations for army personnel, fast jet pilots, and Apache helicopter pilots.
Memory Opticians' comprehensive eye examinations go beyond checking sight; they prioritise the health of the eyes. From diagnosing common issues like inflammation and dry eyes to more serious conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal detachment, the examinations can reveal broader health concerns, including diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and autoimmune diseases.
Memory Opticians offer a wide range of designer, fashion, and niche glasses brands. The experienced practice team assists clients in choosing the perfect frames. The practice also stocks and supplies all types of prescription lenses, including toric, disposable, monthly, daily, bespoke, and gas permeable lenses.
Both branches of Memory Opticians offer hearing care services, including hearing assessments, ear wax removal, hearing devices, tinnitus management, live demonstrations, aftercare service, repairs, servicing, and home visits.
Under the current ownership of Managing Partner Katie Memory and Optometrists Martin Memory and Simon Small, Memory Opticians continues to uphold the values instilled by the original founders. The practice combines expert optical knowledge with high standards of care to optimise clients' vision and health. Their commitment to excellence led to them being finalists for two awards in the Excellence in Customer Service Category in 2019.
