Dr Sophie Ricketts is a Consultant Reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon with over two decades of experience in contemporary cosmetic surgery techniques. Dr Ricketts centres her practice around evidence based practice and providing her patients with all the information they need to make informed decsions about their care. He passion and drive for aesthetic surgery allow her to provide an excellent standard of care. Supported by a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, Dr Ricketts provides compassionate and holistic care.
Dr Ricketts earned her primary medical degree at the University of Tasmania, after which she undertook her surgical training in Melbourne. During this time spent training, Dr Ricketts trained at renowned Melbourne hospitals including St Vincent's Hospital, The Alfred and The Royal Children's Hospial under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, where she worked with renowned national and international surgeons. She then undertook her Advanced Specialist Training in 2010, gaining the highest possible qualification in Plastic Surgery.
Since her Consultant appointment, Dr Ricketts has regularly also volunteered for Interplast, a charitable organisation that aims to repair bodies and rebuild the lives of those impacted by congenital or acquired defects in Asia and the Pacific. Dr Rickets also provides mentorship to surgeons and healthcare professionals in the Asian Pacific region.
