About
Dr Coffey has over 20 years of expertise as a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon and is an expert in hip and knee replacement, lower limb reconstruction and arthroscopy, patellofemoral mechanical diseases, and kinematic knee replacement. He completed his advanced training with the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and gained a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1997. Dr Coffey then spent time completing a clinical fellowship in arthroplasty and lower limb reconstructive surgery.
Dr Coffey is actively involved in the training of orthopaedic registrars, physiotherapy and nursing students, and medical students on an orthopaedic rotation. Dr Coffey is passionate about postgraduate surgical education and has taught all around the world, including in China, India, and other Asian countries. He also has substantial administrative experience, having served as the NSW Chair of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and is currently an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
