Dr Andrew Clout is an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Their fellowship training included various approaches to hip replacement, as well as joint preserving surgeries such as partial knee replacement, high tibial osteotomy and hip resurfacing.
Dr Clout is also interested in arthroscopic knee procedures, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. They regularly cover on-call at a major trauma centre and their goal is achieving the earliest possible return to function in trauma patients of all ages and functional levels. Dr Clout is always available to discuss the management of acute injuries with GPs and referring hospitals. Through collaboration with their anaesthetic colleagues and allied health team, they have developed a structured team-based protocol aiming to minimise complications and help patients achieve rapid return of function following hip and knee replacement surgery.
