Mr Craig Murray is a Consultant ENT Surgeon and works in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. His main base is the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

He qualified in 1988 from Glasgow University and trained in the West of Scotland. His areas of interest are otology and disorders of hearing and balance. He established the balance centre in his base hospital 15 years ago. He has presented both locally and Nationally with regards to balance disorders and service configuration. He has driven the need to treat balance disorders and improve recovery in addition to providing a diagnostic service. He has reconfigured the structure of balance services locally and Scotland wide through work with National steering groups. He manages the full range of otology complaints including hearing loss, discharge, tinnitus. He manages and treats ear conditions surgically when appropriate.

He maintains his skills and knowledge in managing conditions across the generality of ENT.

He has a proven track record in education and training. He was the local Training Program Director for the West of Scotland for 6 years. He has progressed to the position of Chair of the Specialty Advisory Council (SAC) for ENT. As such he is responsible for the development and oversight of all ENT training within the UK. He is co-author of the new Curriculum for ENT. He is on executive council for ENTUK. He is an active examiner in the Intercollegiate exam. He regularly teaches on Glasgow Temporal Bone Course.
