About Mr Andrew Robb

Mr Andrew Robb is a Consultant Paediatric Urologist. He is based in the West Midlands and he runs a practice at Birmingham Children's Hospital. Birmingham Children's Hospital has one of the busiest Paediatric Urology Services in UK. He went to Medical School in Belfast. After completing his Basic Surgical Training and a higher Research degree in Northern Ireland, Mr Robb moved to Birmingham for Higher Surgical Training in Paediatric Surgery. During his training in Paediatric Surgery he spent time in Birmingham, Bristol and Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. After finishing his Paediatric Surgical Training he undertook a Nationally Recognised Fellowship in Paediatric Urology. He was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist in Cambridge in 2013. He returned to Birmingham Children's Hospital to take over a Complex Reconstructive Urology Practice and develop a Kidney Stones Service in 2015. He is also involved in the Children's Kidney Transplant Service in Birmingham. As well as a busy clinical role, Mr Robb is involved in training and teaching doctors. He regularly teaches nationally recognised courses and he is responsible for the Paediatric Surgical Training Scheme in the West Midlands, Bristol and Cardiff. Mr Robb also has an interest in research and he has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as 3 book chapters and he has presented internationally. He has regular clinics at Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, BMI The Priory Hospital in Edgbaston and sees patients on an ad hoc basis at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
