Dr Mohammad Shihata is a dedicated and highly trained Consultant Cardiac Surgeon. Dr Shihata earned his medical degree (MBBS) from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. He then completed his Cardiac Surgery residency at the University of Alberta in Canada, where he also obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology. He further specialised with a fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at the University of Alberta, followed by a Congenital Cardiac Surgery fellowship in Chicago. Dr Shihata is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
With a focus on complex cardiac issues, Dr Shihata has a particular clinical interest in neonatal and adult congenital heart disease, as well as aortic and valvular heart conditions. He applies his specialised knowledge to provide comprehensive and compassionate surgical care for his patients.
