About
Dr Alam graduated with his MBBS from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, in 1987 and went on to work as an Assistant Professor of Paediatrics in one of Pakistan’s largest hospitals before relocating to the UK in 2006. He completed advanced specialist training in paediatrics and neonatology within the NHS at King’s College Hospital, Evelina Children’s Hospital, and Lewisham Hospital. In 2014 he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH), and in 2016 he achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Allergy from Imperial College London.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Alam is committed to education and leadership. He has served as a College Tutor for the RCPCH, a Training Programme Director within the NHS, and currently works as Clinical Lead at Barts Health NHS Trust while also teaching as a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
