Dr Mahmoud Ayche is a highly specialised Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in musculoskeletal oncology, making him one of three specialists in this field across the UAE. He currently practises at Burjeel Day Surgery Centre, Reem Island and Burjeel Medical City, with previous experience at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi and Mubadala Health Dubai. In addition to his oncology focus, he has significant experience in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and the management of complex musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr Ayche earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Lebanese University in 2015. He went on to complete advanced training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery at the University of Grenoble in France in 2020. Further specialising, he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Iowa in 2025, where he managed both benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumours and contributed to research on intraoperative angiography in sarcoma surgery.
His clinical practice includes the treatment of sarcomas, benign musculoskeletal tumours, fractures, trauma, sports injuries, and joint conditions requiring replacement surgery. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Ayche is actively involved in academic research, regularly publishing studies and contributing to medical book chapters in his field.
