Dr. Abbas completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the Medical University of Debrecen, Hungary in 1996. He went on to achieve dual board certifications in General Surgery (2002) and Traumatology (2006) in Hungary. His early career was spent as a Consultant Surgeon in Hungary (1996–2009), before relocating to the UAE, where he served as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at SEHA’s Al Ain and Tawam Hospitals for over a decade (2009–2022).

He has since held senior consultant positions at Lauretta Medical Center (2022–2024) and currently at True Life Speciality Hospital in Al Ain (2024–present). In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Abbas has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UAE University (2020), mentoring future generations of surgeons.

A passionate innovator, Dr. Abbas established the Calcaneal Clinic at Al Ain Hospital and has developed new surgical techniques for humerus and calcaneus fractures, advancing orthopedic care in the region. His professional expertise extends across foot and ankle surgery, upper limb and knee procedures, and polytrauma management.

Dr. Abbas is also an active researcher, lecturer, and international conference presenter, with numerous publications and textbook contributions, including as co-author of the Springer Textbook of Emergency General Surgery (2023). He serves on the editorial boards of Archives of Bone & Joint Surgery and CPQ Orthopedics.

His dedication and excellence have earned him multiple accolades, including Physician of the Month (Al Ain Hospital, 2015) and recognition among SEHA’s Top 1000 Employees (2019).
