About

Mr. Kevin Williams is a highly respected consultant urological surgeon at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, working at both University Hospital Coventry and St Cross Hospital, Rugby. He also sees patients privately at The Meriden Hospital, Coventry and The New Foscote Hospital, Banbury.

He specialises in general urology with sub-specialty interests in the following areas:

• bladder cancer

• prostate cancer

• day-case urology

• bladder outflow surgery

Mr Williams provides comprehensive prostate cancer diagnostics including multiparametric MRI, LATP and general anaesthetic transperineal template prostate biopsies.

He also plays an important role in cancer care at UHCW and beyond as he is the current lead for The Arden multidisciplinary cancer network.

A graduate of the University of Birmingham's Medical School in 2005, Mr. Williams went on to complete his surgical training across the West Midlands region. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Warwick for his research into prostate cancer and obesity, during which time he continued to undertake clinical work at UHCW including assisting in the provision of a one-stop prostate clinic.

Mr Williams is active in research and has published articles on urological technology and the history of urology, ensuring he is always aware of the latest advances in his field. In addition, he also undertakes teaching including undergraduate (University of Warwick) and postgraduate teaching.

Outside of the hospital, Mr Williams spends time with his family. He enjoys playing and coaching cricket, socialising, and cycling.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
