Mr Jefferson has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry since 2006, with a large practice managing patients with prostate cancer. He is active in recruiting patients to clinical trials; UHCW is one of the highest-recruiting units in the UK to such trials.
He undertook an uro-oncology fellowship in Bristol after specialist registrar training to gain comprehensive experience of complex open and laparoscopic urological surgery. He started a Da Vinci robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) service in Coventry and Warwickshire in 2014. He has now performed more than 800 radical prostatectomies in a unit that has performed more than 2000, with prospectively audited outcomes.
He offers subspecialist expertise in the management of prostate cancer as well as 25 years of experience in general urology.
