Dr Alwadiy earned his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He subsequently obtained certification from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare in Paediatrics. To further his specialisation, he completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism, as well as a Fellowship in Academic Paediatric Endocrinology, at Montreal Children's Hospital, affiliated with McGill University in Canada.
