Dr Clement Orczyk
Urology
About
Mr Orczyk specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures and focal therapies. He has specific expertise in prostate MRI, post-radiotherapy recurrence, and a range of ablative techniques including focal high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), cryotherapy, and irreversible electroporation (Nanoknife). He has performed more than 700 focal therapy procedures, including those conducted as part of clinical trials.
He completed medical and doctoral training in France and undertook a fellowship in urological oncology and imaging at New York University in 2011. His doctoral research focused on the integration of imaging and tissue analysis in prostate cancer, including work on 3D margins for focal therapy. He joined UCLH as a Consultant in 2017.
Mr Orczyk’s research combines imaging, molecular biology, and artificial intelligence with the aim of identifying clinically significant prostate cancer and reducing unnecessary intervention. His work includes the adaptation of MRI findings to guide prostate biopsy and risk stratification.
He has published research in peer-reviewed journals, lectures at national and international conferences, and contributes to education and training in urology. He is also involved in the Franco-British Council’s Young Leader Programme, which supports bilateral collaboration between the UK and France in areas including healthcare.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
