About Prof Charles Marshall
Prof Charles Marshall is a Consultant Neurologist and expert at diagnosing and treating memory problems and dementia. He is the Clinical Director for Dementia for NHS London. He works as a Professor of Clinical Neurology at the Centre for Preventive Neurology, Queen Mary University of London, where he leads research focusing on brain health, early detection of dementia, and the influence of health inequalities. He runs a highly specialised cognitive disorders clinic at Barts Health NHS Trust, and works as a Consultant Neurologist at the East London NHS Foundation Trust Memory Clinic in Tower Hamlets. Dr Marshall's academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford (2000–2003) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from University College London (2003–2006). He obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2009 and a Specialty Certificate in Neurology in 2013. Through his clinical practice and research, Dr Marshall is dedicated to advancing early dementia diagnosis and understanding the impact of social factors on neurological health.
