Dr Stabler finished their Orthopaedic Registrar training in a variety of metropolitan and regional Queensland Hospitals. Dr Stabler then moved their family to Hampshire in the south of England. There, they completed a Fellowship post at the Southampton Children's Hospital through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Following this, Dr Stabler worked as a consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK.
Dr Stabler has also undertaken additional training in adult hand surgery. Dr Stabler works in both private practice and the public health system as a General Paediatric Orthopaedic and an Adult Hand Surgeon.
