He further honed his expertise by completing a sub-specialty fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology at the University of British Columbia in Canada.
His commitment to his field is demonstrated by his numerous international affiliations. Dr Altwaim is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Paediatrics. He is also an active member of the Endocrine Society and the International Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes.
