About
The Laurels is a Neurological Rehabilitation Centre based in Lincoln that provides post-acute rehabilitation as well as the management of long-term neurological conditions. The Laurels focuses particularly on therapy and care to improve quality of life and supports a number of conditions including brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, Huntington's disease, and functional neurological disorders. A multi-disciplinary team work together to achieve this goal and consists of a rehabilitation consultant, neuropsychologist, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialist nurses, and experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.The Laurels offers accommodation for up to 12 residents and includes a garden that residents are encouraged to help maintain, as well as and a training kitchen to assist with rehabilitation. Wheelchair access is provided throughout the facility, and there is a lift located on every floor.The Laurels team develop evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation care plans that seek to maximize an individual's independence.
