Zita Chriszto is a Clinical Psychologist with over four years of experience in treating adult clients. Holding a DHA licence, Zita is committed to creating a trusting and caring atmosphere for her clients. With a broad method-specific background, she provides personalised therapy tailored to each individual's unique needs. Zita's analytically oriented psychodynamic approach and expertise in exploring transgenerational patterns lead to profound and lasting results in her clients' lives.
Before relocating to the UAE, Zita had the privilege of living, studying, and working in various countries in Europe, including Hungary, Finland, Switzerland, and Germany. This exposure allowed her to explore different clinical approaches and culture-related lifestyles, enhancing her understanding and adaptability in therapy. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Zita is passionate about furthering her professional skills and personal growth while combating the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Zita utilises a variety of therapeutic methods to meet the unique needs of her patients. These methods include Katathym Imaginative Therapy (KIP), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), regression and dissociation therapy techniques, Ericksonian hypnosis and brief therapy, OH association cards, The Psychology of Grief, and EMOTH: the emotional map of home. By working with the subconscious processes and incorporating symbols and psychodynamic interpretation, Zita helps her clients explore unresolved questions and transgenerational heritage through the use of genograms.
The frequency of sessions with Zita typically ranges from 1-3 times per week, depending on the nature and seriousness of the issues at hand. Zita specialises in providing support for adult patients dealing with various concerns, including anxiety, bereavement, burnout, depression, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, and more. Currently, she is pursuing PhD studies specialising in Personality and Health Psychology, and holds a Master's Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. With her expertise, dedication, and empathetic approach, Zita strives to empower individuals on their journey towards self-improvement and self-knowledge.
