Dr Younis Khalid is a Specialist Paediatrician with over 30 years of experience in paediatrics. He is based in Dubai and currently sees patients at Gargash Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Neonatology at several teaching hospitals in Egypt. Before joining Gargash Hospital in September 2022, he practiced at Al Salama Hospital and Al Noor Hospital in Abu Dhabi and Saudi German Hospital in Dubai.
Dr Khalid completed his primary medical qualification at Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1983, followed by his Master's degree in Paediatrics at the same university in 1989. He completed his MD in Paediatrics and Neonatology at Al Azhar University, Egypt in 2003.
Dr Khalid has specialist expertise in managing both neonatal intensive care and paediatric intensive care units. At Gargash Hospital, he manages all high-risk newborn cases, including cases of low birth weight, prematurity, neonatal sepsis, persistent hypoglycaemia, congenital anomalies, respiratory distress and post-surgical care. He also carries out routine paediatric check-ups, vaccinations and paediatric growth and development assessments.
