Dr. Yasmin Giambrone is a UK board-certified Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Breast Radiologist and Head of the Radiology Department at King’s College Hospital Dubai. With extensive experience in breast and general radiology, she specialises in breast cancer imaging, interventional breast procedures, and medical education.
Dr. Giambrone graduated with Distinction from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009 and later earned her MSc with Distinction from Imperial College London in 2012. Following her post-Foundation training, she specialised in Clinical Radiology and completed a Breast Radiology Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital, London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and an active member of the British Society of Breast Radiology.
Her career includes work at several prestigious institutions, including Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, where she held a substantive Consultant Radiologist position until 2023. She has extensive expertise in 2D mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography, and breast MRI interpretation. She is also highly skilled in breast ultrasound and interventional procedures, including ultrasound, stereotactic, and MRI-guided biopsies and localisations.
As Head of the Radiology Department at King’s College Hospital Dubai, Dr. Giambrone oversees radiology operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. She also plays a key role at the Breast Care Centre in Dubai Hills, where she provides expert imaging and diagnostic services for breast cancer detection and management.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Giambrone is dedicated to medical education. She has organised radiology courses and breast cancer imaging workshops and serves as an OSCE examiner for King’s College London medical students. Her contributions to breast imaging research have been published and presented at multiple national and international radiology conferences, reinforcing her position as a respected figure in the field.
Dr. Giambrone is fluent in English and Farsi.
