About Dr Tomas Prior
Dr Tom Prior is a consultant obstetrician based at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, with subspecialty accreditation in maternal and foetal medicine. He provides expert care in both the NHS and private sectors, also seeing patients at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital. Dr Prior graduated with distinction from Imperial College London Medical School in 2006 and completed his postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology at leading London hospitals, including St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s. In 2015, he was awarded a PhD from Imperial College London for his research into the prediction of foetal compromise during labour, work that he has published in respected medical journals and presented internationally. With extensive experience in managing complex pregnancies and expertise in foetal ultrasound, Dr Prior combines clinical excellence with a calm, compassionate approach. He is known for his outstanding communication skills and patient-centred care. Whether guiding high-risk pregnancies or supporting natural births, Dr Prior is committed to helping women achieve the birth they want, safely and confidently. His research interests include high-risk obstetrics, foetal growth restriction, prenatal diagnosis, and diabetes in pregnancy, and he remains actively involved in publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
