About

Mr Taha Khan is a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon affiliated with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London.

Having graduated from Imperial College London in 2002, Mr Khan's early interest in vascular surgery led him to pursue a higher research degree (MD) in Vascular Tissue Engineering. His commitment to advancing in the field was further solidified with the award of Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016. Subsequently, he completed advanced fellowships in Robotic Endovascular Surgery at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College London in 2017, and Deep Venous Surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2018.

Mr Khan initially served as a consultant vascular surgeon at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, where he established the largest Deep Venous Surgery Service in Northern England. During his tenure, he held roles as the lead for deep venous surgery and the venous thromboembolism service. In 2021, he joined the esteemed vascular surgery team at St Thomas’ Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London.

With a primary focus on venous disease management, Mr Khan has developed and implemented patient care pathways and treatment strategies aimed at optimising patient outcomes. He is actively involved in local, regional, and national committees advocating for patients with venous disease. His expertise extends to lecturing extensively on arterial and venous surgery topics at national and international forums. He has contributed significantly to venous research, with his work published in high-impact journals, and has served as faculty on various vascular surgery courses worldwide.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
