Mr Sri Kamath completed his medical training in 1996 and finished his post graduate training in orthopaedics in 1999 from India. He did his basic surgical training in Derby/Nottingham and completed his higher surgical training in Orthopaedics in Merseyside in 2009. Mr Kamath has completed the SAC recognised lower limb arthroplasty fellowship in Portsmouth and worked as senior registrar in Wrightington before joining the East Lancashire Hospitals as full time consultant in 2009.
Mr Kamath offers consultations and surgical treatment for all aspects of orthopaedic surgery with a special interest including:
Young adult hip and knee related disorders
High tibial knee osteotomy
Primary and revision hip, knee replacement surgery
Partial knee replacement surgery
Knee arthroscopic procedures including meniscal repair and hamstring ACL reconstruction
He is actively involved in the training of junior doctors at Royal Blackburn hospital. He is the departmental lead at East Lancashire Trust for Advancing Quality programme which is a pioneering work in North west region to improve the quality of patient care. He has several peer review publications and has delivered presentations both nationally and internationally on different aspects of orthopaedics.
Mr Kamath is married with two children. He likes spending time with his family and also enjoys swimming and badminton.
