Her doctoral research examined acute coronary syndrome, with a focus on thrombotic and thrombolytic status and its relationship to clinical outcomes. She subsequently undertook advanced subspecialty training in interventional cardiology, including coronary intervention fellowships in Manchester and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) training at Leeds General Infirmary.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Saraf is involved in academic research, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international cardiology meetings. She also undertakes medico-legal work, providing independent cardiology reports, case reviews and expert witness opinions in matters relating to cardiovascular disease.
