About Dr Slawomir Zelazek
Dr. Sławomir Żelazek is a Clinical Psychologist, Neuropsychologist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and NLP Master Practitioner. He holds an MA in Psychology with specialisations in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, and Neuropsychology, as well as advanced training in hypnotherapy (SET system) and Neurolinguistic Programming. He provides psychological support for patients with chronic illnesses, mood (affective) disorders such as bipolar disorder, depression, dysthymia, cyclothymia, and other persistent mood disorders. His expertise also covers anxiety-related conditions including panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, and obsessive–compulsive disorder. Dr. Żelazek also treats cognitive disorders affecting memory, attention, sensory perception, and thinking, particularly in patients with neurological conditions (e.g. stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia), head injuries, CNS cancers, severe exacerbations of chronic somatic diseases, substance use disorders, and withdrawal syndromes. For diagnosis, he uses the MMPI-2 (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory), a widely recognised psychological personality test. His therapeutic approaches include clinical hypnotherapy using the SET method and Coherence Therapy developed by Bruce Ecker and Laurel Hulley.
