Psychology
About
The primary therapeutic model she uses is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), although she also combines techniques from other evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Rational-Emotive and Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She is trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) intervention.
Dr. Chereji has a particular interest in working with individuals dealing with trauma and dissociative disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and social anxiety. She has extensive experience assisting professionals in the corporate world who struggle with emotional and behavioural challenges that affect their performance and well-being in the workplace. In addition to her clinical practice, she also provides supervision to clinical psychologists.
She places great value on meeting her clients' expectations for professionalism and positive outcomes in therapy, helping them overcome obstacles throughout the therapeutic journey to find solutions to their difficulties. Her primary goal as a practitioner is not only to help clients feel better by the end of therapy but also to facilitate genuine improvement in their well-being.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
