Dr Shikha Dhirender is an Ophthalmologist with more than a decade of experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of eye conditions. She is currently practicing at the Royal Phoenix Clinic, Wasl Village, providing comprehensive ophthalmic care for adults and children.
Her clinical expertise includes the management of conjunctival diseases such as conjunctivitis, dry eye, and pterygium, with experience in advanced techniques including autograft, fibrin, glue, and amniotic membrane grafting. She also manages corneal conditions such as keratitis, anterior segment disorders, and uveitis. Dr Dhirender provides glaucoma care, including screening, medical treatment, and laser procedures.
In addition, she has extensive experience in managing eyelid conditions such as chalazion, xanthelasma, trichiasis, styes, and trachoma. She also offers medical retina services, including the evaluation and management of diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy. Her surgical practice includes cataract evaluation and phacoemulsification procedures, as well as refractive error management for both adults and children.
Dr Dhirender completed her MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology, followed by a Fellowship in Medical Retina at Venu Eye Institute, New Delhi. She also undertook senior residency at CR Hospital, Mumbai, and has worked in several hospitals across India before moving to her current role in the UAE.
