Dr Shalini Arya is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Medcare Medical Center (Discovery Garden). She is a qualified member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK) and has worked at a number of hospitals in India and the UAE. Dr Arya specialises in high-risk pregnancies, prenatal, antenatal and postnatal care, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, colposcopy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and PCOS.
Dr Arya graduated from the University of Lucknow in India in 2001, before completing a master's at the University of Meerut. She went on to complete a fellowship in minimal access surgery with the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. Dr Arya has previously worked at Sanjeevani Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre and Shivan IVF Fertility Centre in India. She has also worked at Al Qassimi Hospital and New Medical Centre in the UAE.
In addition to the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology UK, Dr Arya is a member of the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society India, the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi, and the Indian Medical Association She was also a committee member of the scientific session of the All India Conference of Gynaecology in 2008.
In her spare time, Dr Arya enjoys reading and music.
