Dr Samra Tahir is a Clinical Psychologist, Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, and the Managing Director & Co-Founder of Irish Wellness Medical Center. With decades of international experience across Ireland, Pakistan and the UAE, she is widely recognised for her clinical expertise, leadership and dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care.
Dr Samra is known for her integrative, evidence-based approach, combining a strong foundation in clinical research with a deep understanding of psychological therapies and human behaviour. She tailors interventions to meet the individual needs of children, adolescents and adults, always practising with empathy, cultural sensitivity and clinical precision. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts, MPhil and PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Throughout her career, Dr Samra has held prominent leadership roles, including Head of the Child Psychology Department at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology (Abu Dhabi) and Consultant Clinical Psychologist at KidsHeart Medical Center. Her clinical work has encompassed a wide spectrum of psychological, developmental and behavioural conditions.
Dr Samra offers an inclusive therapeutic environment where individuals and families feel understood, supported and empowered. Her calm, grounded presence has established her as a trusted clinician and an influential voice in mental health advocacy across the region.
Today, Dr Samra co-leads Irish Wellness Medical Center with a shared vision of compassion, integrity and evidence-based psychological care, ensuring that every patient receives personalised, high-quality support on their journey towards emotional wellbeing.
