Prof Sam Abraham .Consultant Physician with a special interest in Movement Disorders and Stroke. Working as Consultant in Medicine for Elderly departnent at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board since 2007, where he has helped in developing and establishing Parkinson's disease clinics. He also holds the position of Visiting Professor at Wrexham Glyndwr University and Part time Clinical Director for Community Frailty Medicine at Powys Teaching Health Board. Joined as Consultant at Wrexham Maelor hospital in 2007 and was instrumental in setting up Movement disorder service for Parkinson's disease patients at Wrexham.Has many years of experience as Physician and geriatrician.

Dr. Abraham has a strong research interest in biomarkers for Parkinson's Disease and has served as the Principal Investigator for several clinical research trials in Parkinson's disease and Stroke.

Dr. Abraham is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has worked as an examiner for the MRCP PACES exam for trainees in medicine both nationally and internationally. He is currently the program director for North Wales Geriatric Medicine training progra.

His expertise spans various areas, including the diagnosis and management of Parkinson's Disease, Stroke management, Dementia assessment, Mental capacity assessment, and comprehensive geriatric assessments. He is also an active member of the British Geriatric Society, highlighting his commitment to the field of geriatric medicine and the well-being of older patients.
