Dr Khalid holds honorary academic positions as Senior Lecturer at UCLan School of Medicine and Lancaster University.

He manages patients with asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer, with a subspecialty interest in chronic cough. He completed his PhD at the University of Manchester in 2012, focusing on the mechanisms and treatment of chronic cough, and has established a dedicated clinic for this condition.
