About Mr Robert McCririck
Graduating in 2013 with a 1st class honours degree in Podiatry from Queen Margaret University, Robert has gone on to practice at specialist level in the NHS and private practice, both in the UK and Canada before returning to his home town of Kelso to launch his private practice, Tweed Podiatry in early 2018. He is also a senior lecturer with the Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group (SMUG) where he teaches diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections of the foot and ankle, working in Leeds and London. He has held prestigious roles as sports podiatrist for The University of Edinburgh’s sports medicine centre (FASIC), working with everyone from novice sports people to Olympic athletes. He has lectured in Podiatry and Sports Medicine at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and National University of Ireland, Galway. He has also been a guest speaker at a number of national and international conferences. Robert holds a masters degree in podiatric surgery and a post-graduate certificate in medical ultrasound, becoming the first Podiatrist in Southern Scotland to gain this qualification and offer in-house diagnostic imaging. He has a special interest in complex musculoskeletal (MSK) & running-related injuries, foot and ankle injection therapies and medical imaging.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
