Mr Townsley is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in Head and Neck Surgery and Laryngology. He qualified in 2006 from the University of London. Following this, he completed foundation training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Mr Townsley then returned to the West of Scotland for higher surgical training in Otolaryngology (ENT), undertaking training in all aspects of ear, nose, throat and neck surgery. After obtaining the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), he completed an advanced fellowship in Laryngology at the University of Toronto, Canada. This fellowship focused on the care of the professional voice, swallowing and airway disorders.
Mr Townsley is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
