About Dr Richard Ang
Dr Richard Ang, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, currently works at the Homerton University Hospital and the world renowned Barts Heart Centre in London. He also sees patients privately at the One Heart Clinic, and the HCA Wellington Hospital. He is highly experienced in the treatment of heart rhythm conditions (including atrial fibrillation, SVTs, ectopic beats, slow heart rhythm) and performs a wide range of ablation and pacemaker procedures. Dr Ang completed his medical education at Barts and the London, University of London where he qualified in 2002 with Distinction and Prizes. He then progressed through his specialist training for cardiology at well-respected London teaching hospitals. He was awarded the prestigious Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship for his doctoral research into the heart brain interaction and was awarded a PhD by University College London in 2015. He is currently the Clinical Lead for SVT ablation procedures at Barts Heart Centre and the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Homerton Hospital.
