He is highly experienced in advanced phonosurgical techniques and office-based laryngeal procedures, including stroboscopy, laryngeal EMG, high-definition laryngoscopy, vocal fold augmentation, EMG-guided Botox injections, and flexible laser-assisted procedures. He also performs endoscopic cordectomy, partial laryngectomy, and other reconstructive or functional laryngeal surgeries, along with general ENT procedures.
Dr Kalash has worked across multiple healthcare institutions in the UAE, including Fakeeh University Hospital, Canadian Specialist Hospital, and True Life Hospital in Al Ain, alongside several visiting consultant roles in major hospitals such as Aster Hospital, Al Zahra Hospital, and Emirates Hospital. Prior to his UAE practice, he led voice and swallowing clinics in Kuwait and established his own dedicated larynx clinic in Damascus.
In addition to his clinical work, he has an extensive academic background, having spent over 10 years teaching at medical schools including Damascus University. He has contributed to international conferences, workshops, and surgical training programs across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including ME-OTO and IFOS meetings, and has served as an instructor and faculty speaker on advanced laryngology topics.
