About
He qualified in 2003 from Barts & The London School of Medicine, having spent a year at King's College London completing a BSc in Physiology with management. Dr Patel undertook basic surgical training in London followed by specialist training in clinical and interventional radiology in Birmingham. He undertook a specialist vascular fellowship in Bath and Bristol as well as in Nuremberg as a visiting fellow. Dr Patel has a special interest in the management of uterine fibroids with uterine artery embolisation as well as an interest in varicocele embolisation. Since becoming a consultant in 2013, Dr Patel has held several senior positions including lead for Interventional Radiology at London North West University Healthcare and The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS FT, Chief Clinical Infromation Officer and deputy clinical startegy lead for the New Build Hillingdon Hospital.
