About Miss Rachel O'Connell
Miss Rachel O'Connell is an expert oncoplastic breast surgeon at HCA Healthcare UK Women’s Health Centre, located at 27-29 Harley Street, where she works with Leaders in Breast Surgery. Specialising in breast cancer surgery, benign breast conditions, oncoplastic procedures, risk-reduction surgeries, and the treatment of both benign and malignant breast lesions, Miss O'Connell aims to achieve the best cosmetic results for her patients. By combining breast cancer removal with plastic surgery techniques, she ensures optimal post-treatment appearances. Miss O'Connell graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2007 and completed her surgical training at the London Deanery. With funding from the Royal College of Surgeons, she pursued a research degree at The Royal Marsden, focusing on improving cosmetic outcomes following breast cancer surgery. From 2020 to 2021, she completed an Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgery Fellowship at The Royal Marsden, where she now serves as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in addition to her private practice. Miss O'Connell takes a comprehensive approach to patient care, dedicated to enhancing both surgical and aesthetic outcomes in breast cancer treatment to improve her patients' quality of life. Highly regarded for her clinical expertise and commitment to research, Miss O'Connell is a leading figure in oncoplastic breast surgery. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and research papers, and regularly presents her findings at international conferences. Her research has gained her widespread recognition, both nationally and internationally, earning her several prestigious awards in the area of surgical outcomes in breast cancer. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Association of Breast Surgery.
