He has led the development of new surgical approaches and was instrumental in establishing the UK’s pioneering cross-specialty oncoplastic training fellowships. His influence extends nationally through leadership roles, including serving as President of the Association of Cancer Surgery and Chair of the Cancer Surgery Committee at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Committed to research, Professor Baildam has authored over 200 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, and book chapters. His expertise covers the full breadth of breast disease, including breast cancer, reconstruction, risk-reducing surgery, family history assessment, breast diagnostics, and revision procedures.
