About Mr Pranab Sinha
Mr. Pranab Sinha is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in London, specialising in conditions affecting the hip and knee, as well as sports injuries. Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to personalised care, Mr. Sinha treats a wide range of patients—from young, active individuals to those experiencing pain and reduced mobility due to arthritis. With advanced training both in the UK and internationally, Mr. Sinha offers expert care in hip and knee replacements tailored to each patient’s needs, along with keyhole (arthroscopic) knee surgeries such as ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, and patellar (kneecap) procedures. He also uses modern joint preservation techniques to help delay or avoid the need for joint replacement where possible. Mr. Sinha is committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for his patients through enhanced recovery pathways and evidence-based rehabilitation, helping you return to your normal life as quickly and safely as possible. He completed his medical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, graduating with honours in his Anatomy BSc degree, and trained under leading orthopaedic surgeons in top hospitals across London, South East England, and internationally in Johannesburg and Sydney. His specialist fellowships include complex trauma surgery at King’s College Hospital and advanced hip and knee replacement surgery in Sydney, Australia including the latest robotic and computer-assisted techniques. In the NHS, Mr. Sinha works at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where he is a trusted member of the orthopaedic team. As a former Clinical Governance Lead, he led several successful initiatives to improve patient safety and care. He is also passionate about education and regularly teaches and mentors junior doctors and trainee surgeons. Currently, as the Trauma lead at Queen Elizabeth, he has led several quality mprovement projects that has enhanced Orthopaedic trauma care. Alongside his clinical work, Mr. Sinha is actively involved in orthopaedic research. He has published over 16 scientific papers, contributed to a major textbook on hip surgery, and presented at leading national and international conferences.
