About Dr Paula Bradley
Dr Paula Bradley is a General Practitioner based in the North East of England with a clinical interest in women’s health, particularly perimenopause and menopause. She graduated in medicine from the Newcastle University in 2005. Following qualification, Dr Bradley initially undertook specialist training in otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat surgery) before completing her postgraduate training in general practice. In her NHS practice, Dr Bradley regularly supports women presenting with symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause. Her work in this area focuses on assessment, diagnosis and the provision of evidence-based information regarding hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options. She has particular knowledge of the safety considerations surrounding hormone replacement therapy (HRT), informed by both clinical evidence and her understanding of thrombotic risk. Dr Bradley is committed to improving awareness and understanding of menopause-related health issues, particularly in addressing misinformation and supporting informed decision-making. In addition to her clinical work with patients, she has provided advice and guidance to colleagues on individualised hormonal health strategies and effective communication around treatment choices. Her approach to care integrates general practice principles with a life-course perspective on women’s health, supporting patients through hormonal transitions with clear, balanced and up-to-date medical guidance.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
